The victim who was 2-month pregnant was shot at by the drunk man when he was not allowed to dance with her on stage. Raids are on to nab the absconding killer.

Chandigarh : A dancer, who was two-month pregnant, performing at a wedding in Bathinda city of Punjab was shot and killed by a ‘drunk’ man on Saturday night. The man who reportedly found a gun in the audience took the shot after he was snubbed off the stage and killed the dancer on the spot and is presently absconding. The police are also considering a possible accidental death during celebratory firing angle to the incident as well.
The victim, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, nicknamed Jaanu, 22, was part of a dance troupe that was performing at the wedding. The ‘drunk’ man reportedly got up on the stage and tried dancing, following which he was snubbed off and this enraged him and finding a rifle nearby took a shot on Kulwinder Kaur.
 
 
According to Vikram Kumar, the victim’s brother in law, who spoke to Times Now, Kulwinder was two-month pregnant at the time. While he alleged that she was shot by the bridegroom’s brother and friends Billa and Deepak. However in the video footage, only one man is seen to have taken the shot. He added that the man tried dancing on he stage, to which the stage secretary refused and asked them to get off the stage. This followed the shooting incident which killed Kulwinder at around 11.15 pm.
In the same Times Now report, the station house officer differed in his allegation. While an FIR has been filed against the accused Billa under IPC section 302, the SHO claimed that it was an accidental shot that killed Kulwinder and she was not a target. But the family members alleged that it was indeed a cold-blooded murder. More information about it expected after receiving the post-mortem reports. He claimed that even though the accused are absconding, raids are being carried out to nab them
